Founded in 2014, by two aspiring Alberta-based entrepreneurs, Modern Gravity serves as Edmonton’s most trusted space to get naked and reduce stress. Operating with a half-dozen world-class float rooms and a unique, fun-filled atmosphere—the entire team prides themselves on delivering a kick-ass experience, every single time, in order to help the people in their community become more relaxed, productive and creative.
Whether you’re a hardworking professional, a superhero parent or an up and coming athlete, the crew at Modern Gravity has something for everyone. With warm towels and friendly faces, it’s never been easier to relieve those sore muscles, visualize that next big project or even meditate like a monk—effortlessly.
It all started with a single tank, some ridiculous ideas—and a whole lot of passion!
After floating a couple thousand people out of their basement, these two best-friends decided it would be a neat idea to jump further down this rabbit hole and ventured out to make their larger vision—a reality.
As they continue to grow a passionate and dedicated team revolved around the world of floating, along with getting to know more of their community, everyday is an opportunity for crazy antics and adventure.
With an inspired mindset, a near decade long love for floating and a strange combination of creativity, patience and insanity—escapades were inevitable!
Matt decided to drop everything, including being a strength coach, to launch a company that brought a different vibe to small business and the float industry.
Outside of an extensive knowledge in mechanical systems and troubleshooting, Jamie has an insatiable passion toward socially conscious business, that cares.
With a boss-mode vision for the future of floating, coupled with some incredibly ambitious new ideas, research and community involvement—awesome awaits.
“Create the best tools and environments to help reduce stress, enhance relationships and live happier.”
Be sure to learn more about how floating works, what the benefits are and why we’re different.
